Our Vineyard

About Us

Bom Vinho! Vineyard is located in the rolling hills of the Fair Play appellation of El Dorado County, California, a superior grape growing region, producing highly concentrated, complex wines. As members of Sacramento Home Winemakers (SHW) Club since 2010, Sonia Baron and Carol Clark took their knowledge gained from mentors and guest speakers of SHW, planted grapes in the Sacramento Valley and made award winning wines.

But 120 vines was not enough! Sonia and Carol decided to take it to the next level. Looking for other baby boomers with drive and ambition and a desire to develop premium wines, they invited their good friends Paul and Victoria Strother to jump off the proverbial lifestyle-change cliff. "Let's sell our houses, purchase a vineyard and make that our retirement dream!" With Paul and Victoria's 30 years of experience owning and operating Ps Construction, Inc., an award winning general contracting company, it was a perfect match!

Retirement is a relative term! Still working their day jobs, the four friends are entrenched in the formation of a new business, cultivation of grapes that are praiseworthy for several other wineries and construction of a winery...while they maintain their "garden" of 4,000 vines.
